Butterfly Basics Thanks Cards

I have so many projects that haven’t been shared, I just haven’t had the time at the computer to sit and write my posts.  It’s scary to see how much time has passed since my last post…and hope that it won’t be quite so long between this one and my next post!

Anyways, today I am sharing some cute little thank you cards I made a while ago…

Butterfly Basics 001

Super quick and easy, I was having a play with what was then our new In Colours, Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe.  They have been around for quite a while now!

Thanks for stopping by, and bear with me while I get back into the swing of posting!

Sprinkles Of Life Birthday Card

I made this card ages ago now, but it was the first one on my camera when I finally downloaded them to my computer yesterday, so I figured that I would just start at the beginning and get you caught up with what I have been making…

Sprinkles of Life 001 - Front

I wanted this to be cute, but also to fit the bill for a masculine card…I think I did gender neutral more than masculine, but that’s ok!  We need those cards in our stash too!

Sprinkles of Life 001 - Inside

I went super simple on the inside, so there’s plenty of room to write a message around the tree.

Thanks for stopping by…I’m hoping I will be back again tomorrow with something else to share from my camera archives!

Whitewashed Vivid Vases

Finally inked up my Vivid Vases stamp set!  I’ve used the Whitewash technique for this notecard…I just love how amazing everything looks using this technique!

Vivid Vases 001

Such a simple card, but I’m in love with it!  Being a notecard I haven’t added anything to the inside so there’s plenty of room to write my message.  My layers mimic the front of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sprinkles Of Life Cupcake Notecard

The Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set this year is the Sprinkles Of Life stamp set.  This set is super cute, and works for so many different themes, you will want to add it to your craft stash too!

Sprinkles of Life 002

The Tree Builder Punch let’s us punch the cupcake top and the cherry, so this card went together pretty quickly!

No photos of the inside…being smaller than a regular card I added the layers but left it blank so there’s plenty of room to write a birthday message.

Thanks for stopping by.

Whitewashed Corner Garden

It’s been ages since my last post, so I thought I’d better dust off the cobwebs and share something pretty with you 🙂

Today’s card is a case of Heather’s card over at Playing With Papercrafting.  It’s one of those cards that makes you need to buy the stamp set, just so you can make it!  Gorgeous!

Corner Garden 001 - Front

The whitewash seemed to take forever to do, but once I started to colour in the flowers I quickly fell in love!

Corner Garden 001 - Inside

I went super simple for the inside.  I stamped the top of the Corner Garden image in the bottom corner of my card in Versamark….it would have been gorgeous if it had been coloured in too, but I was getting too impatient to finish my card!

I made this card with my class ladies a few weeks ago and they loved it.  It was great to teach them the whitewash technique, and see all the variations of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lloyd’s Memorial Candles

My cousin Lloyd passed away last Sunday.  I made these memorial candles for his funeral, which was held on Friday.

Memorial Candle - Lloyd Trio

What a gorgeous photo of a beautiful man.  Lloyd’s wife and daughters love this photo, and loved the candles.  They were lit at the funeral service by his 3 grandsons.

Memorial Candle - Lloyd

Rest in peace Lloyd.  You are very sadly missed xx

Janine’s Card In A Box

Janine’s husband, Graeme, asked all of her stamping friends to make a card to present to her during the funeral.  I knew that I would make Janine a card in a box card, because she wanted to try one, but didn’t get the chance.

Janine Card In A Box - Front

I chose Blackberry Bliss because purple is Janine’s favourite colour.  The stars come from a long retired set that I don’t think I will ever part with, called Simply Stars.  I choose stars because I like to think that Janine is now a star shining down on us.  I’ve also added lots of Silver Glimmer Paper, because Janine is just like the rest of us and loved her bling!

Janine Card In A Box - Side

I know Janine would have loved this card!  I think it took me just as long to write my message to her on the back as it did to make the card.  I didn’t want to make it a sad card, so I made it a thank you card instead.  I thanked Janine for our special friendship, and all the little moments we got to share.  I also added this small piece I found online:

Goodbye’s are not forever.

Goodbye’s are not the end.

They simply mean I’ll miss you,

Until we meet again.

Sleep peacefully my beautiful friend, until we meet again.

Memorial Candles for Janine

My dear friend Janine passed away on Wednesday 1st of July after a very courageous battle with breast cancer.  Janine’s passing has been devastating, but I take comfort in knowing that she’s pain free and doesn’t have to struggle anymore.

I’m sharing photos of the candles I made for Janine’s funeral, which was held last Friday.

Candles Janine Trio

I’m so pleased with how they turned out.  Janine’s husband, Graeme, provided me with gorgeous photos to use.

Candle Janine-Graeme

Janine with her husband, Graeme.

Candle Janine-Ben

Janine with her son, Ben.

Candle Janine-Cara

Janine with her daughter, Cara.

Sleep peacefully my beautiful friend.  I know you will already have the angels stamping!

Father’s Day Card In A Box

We made a Father’s Day card in a box at last week’s class, along with the wedding anniversary one I shared in my last post.

Dad Card In A Box - Front 1

My ladies came up with some great variations on this card too…and I know there’s one card that is waiting for a special little grandchild to be born!

Dad Card In A Box - Front 2

I saw the Onesie from the Something For Baby stamp set made into a shirt for Father’s Day last year…I love that Pinterest reminds us of all these great ideas when we are ready to use them!

Dad Card In A Box - Side

I now have one Father’s Day card in my stash for this year…only 2 more to go!

Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Anniversary Card In A Box

One of my lovely class ladies asked if we could make a card for a 25th wedding anniversary card at Friday night’s class.  I watched Tanya Bell’s video tutorial, and this is the card we made.

Congrats Card In A Box - Front 1

I love how this turned out!  Inspiration came from the million photos of Card In A Box cards that Stamp With Rachel has posted over on her Facebook page.

Congrats Card In A Box - Front 2

My ladies loved making this card, and came up with some great variations!  It was crazy busy with 9 people, but we all had a great time 🙂

Congrats Card In A Box - Side

This would make a great engagement card too!
