May SCS Creative Crew DSP/Colour Focus

SU-Creative-CrewThe Splitcoaststampers SU Creative Crew have kicked off May with some fantastic challenges.  We have 24 super talented stampers in the design team for this round, so there’s lots of gorgeous projects in the May Creative Crew Gallery for you to check out!

Your theme this month is to be “Anything But Average”.  Take inspiration from the past and show us something new!  Stretch creatively through different folds and other creative projects, and leave “almost boring” at the back door.  We are focusing on non-traditional sized cards (anything BUT an A2), shaped cards, scrapbook layouts and 3D projects.  Go beyond the obvious and ordinary, and make it extraordinary!

DSP/Colour Focus: Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Smoky Slate.

Use a technique of your choosing that imitates our Watercolor Wonder designer series paper.

I pulled out my Circle Card Thinlits for the very first time to create my flip card.

Flower Shop Flip Card Front

I love how easy this card was to make!  I knew exactly which sheet of Watercolor Wonder DSP I wanted to imitate, and pulled out my Flower Shop stamp set and got busy.

I stamped my flowers onto Whisper White cardstock using Gumball Green, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate ink.  Before stamping each flower I stamped onto scrap cardstock twice before stamping on my white to soften the colours.  I am so pleased with how this turned out!

Flower Shop Flip Card Side

I can’t wait to make this card with all my ladies!

Are you ready to show us your anything but average card?  Upload your card to Splitcoaststampers with the keyword CCREW0514DF.  Don’t forget to check out the inspiration in the May Creative Crew Gallery!

Happy Stampin’

  1. What a great card, Mel! I love the dsp you created with the Flower Shop stamps – it’s easy to forget we can do this in the colors that we want. Xx

  2. Super pretty! TFS!
