Flower Shop Card In A Box

When my class ladies told me they needed a purple 50th birthday card with butterflies, I knew it was finally time to sit down and make my own card in a box.  I’ve had it on my “Gotta Make That” list for ages, so I sat down and watched the great tutorial from the super talented Tanya Bell with measurements to fit in a standard Aussie sized envelope, and got to work!

Flower Shop 004 - Front

You just can’t go past Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder when you need a purple fix!

Flower Shop 004 - Left

The Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp sets made this come together fairly quickly…love love love a matching punch 🙂

Flower Shop 004 - Right

Those butterfly punches sure got a workout too!

My ladies all loved this card, and were soon hard at work making their very own card in a box to bring for show and tell to our next class!

So…2 posts in 2 days….let’s see if we can make it three in a row tomorrow!

April SCS Creative Crew DSP/Colour Focus Challenge

SU-Creative-CrewOur April DSP/Colour Focus Challenge is to use the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, or the colours of Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Smoky Slate, & Tangerine Tango.

I’ve chosen to use the Watercolor Wonder DSP for my card.

Perfect Pennants 001 Front

I finally cracked open my Hexagon Hive Framelits for this card.  I can’t believe how long it took me to get around to using it!  I love this effect with the DSP showing through the die cut layer!

Perfect Pennants 001 Inside

I love these cute little flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set.  They have added the perfect finishing touch to my card.

Crack open your Watercolor Wonder DSP and come play along with our challenge!  Upload your creation over at Splitcoaststampers using the keyword CCREW0414DF.  Don’t forget to check out the awesome inspiration by the Design Team in the April Creative Crew Challenge Gallery!

SU-Creative-CrewCatalogue Focus Challenge – Punches

Stampin’Up! has so many great punches that make our cardmaking so much more fun! Use your punches to create a window card.

I used the 1″ square punch and Petite Petals stamp set from the Celebrate the Everyday catalogue for my Creative Crew Design Team submission.

Petite Petals 001 - Front

Loving the Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch!  So easy to make quick and cute cards!  I do love this notecard size!

Petite Petals 001 - Inside

I’ve added a couple more flowers to the inside, and decided not to add a sentiment, so my card can be used for any occasion.

Pop over to the February Creative Crew Challenge Gallery to check out the gorgeous creations my fellow design team members have made with their punches, and get ready to play along!  Upload your creation to Splitcoaststampers and include the keyword CCREW0214CF.  Can’t wait to see what you make!

I will pop back tomorrow (when it’s going to be so much cooler here, thank god!) to share my creation for the Holiday Focus challenge.  See you then 🙂
