Anniversary Card In A Box

When the lovely young lady who works with my disabled son said that her parent’s 25th wedding anniversary was coming up I thought I would make a special card for her to give to them.  Knowing that her Mum is also a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who would appreciate my handy work, I wanted to make this one extra special.  Hearts Collection Framelits 001 - Front

Extra special?  Tick!

Hearts Collection Framelits 001 - Left

I spent hours die cutting and punching hearts, and making sure they were all in just the right position!

Hearts Collection Framelits 001 - Right

I know she loved the card as much as I do!  Happy anniversary Kerry, I hope you had a wonderful day 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stampin’

April SCS Creative Crew Holiday Focus

Create a card, an ensemble, a scrapbook page or a decor item for one of the following holidays:

Earth Day

Historic Garden Week

National Egg Salad Week

Go Fly A Kite Day (3rd Sunday in April)

This one was a no brainer for me!  I needed Easter presents for Dylan’s teachers as well as the bus driver and chaperone who take him to and from school each day, so was more than happy to kill two birds with one stone!

Window Treat Box Front

How super cute is that box???  I am so in love with it!  I followed the Window Treat Box tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  Super easy!

Window Treat Box Side

This one made in Coastal Cabana is my favourite, but I made them in all of the 2013-2015 In Colours, and they all looked great!  I finished them off just as I was running out the door to go to school for the last day of term assembly, so I didn’t manage to get a photo of them all together.  I’m thinking these will be great filled with different chocolates and a Mother’s Day sentiment on them, so you may see more of these ones yet!

Are you ready to show us your holiday inspired creation?  Upload your project over at Splitcoaststampers and use the keyword CCREW0414HF.  Don’t forget to check out the April SU Creative Crew Gallery while you are there!

Crosses of Hope

When one of my lovely stamping ladies (Hi Gina!) said she needed to make a baptism card for a boy I knew I didn’t have any stamps in my stash that fit the bill.  My Digital Studio (MDS) to the rescue!  A couple of clicks later I had purchased and downloaded the Crosses Of Hope digital stamp brush set, and I was set to go!

Crosses of Hope 001 Front

I have kept it super simple…that gorgeous cross needed to be my focal point!

Crosses of Hope 001 Inside

I love how simple it is to make the cross smaller in MDS to include on the inside of my card!

Hope you like this one Gina!

Love Birds

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching I needed a Valentine’s Day card to teach at my next class.  I went searchng through blogland for inspiration and found lots of beautiful cards, but Deb’s card over at Artfelt Impressions begged to be made right now!

Teeny Tiny Sentiments 002 - Front

I have used Real Red and Whisper White, instead of Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla and added another layer (you know I couldn’t help myself!),but everything else is the same as Deb’s card.

Teeny Tiny Sentiments 002 - Inside

I’ve kept the inside super simple, but I think those small hearts speak for themselves!

This would make a great wedding, engagement or anniversary card too 🙂

It’s going to be pretty hot here today, and I’m hoping to get through everything fairly early and spend the afternoon in my stamping room.  Fingers crossed!  I’ve got some new toys begging to be played with!

Thanks for stopping by today.

I have to tell you….the Wetlands stamp set was NOT on my “gotta have that” list.  Looking at it in the catalogue, it didn’t excite me at all.  It hasn’t taken that long for me to fall in love with it though….it’s got so much potential!  Here’s the first card I have made with it.

Wetlands 001

This is notecard size, so smaller than normal, but there’s still plenty of room for your special message inside 🙂   I’ve made mine into a birthday card, but it’s really is suitable for any occasion.

I love how this turned out!  I embossed the birds image in black, and then sponged with crumb cake and soft sky.  Super simple, but oh so effective!

I made this with my ladies on Friday night….I think they are all falling in love with this set now too!

I’ve kept all Ann’s design elements, just added a few layers…for those who know me, they know that I just don’t cope without layers!!
