Sprinkles Of Life Cupcake Notecard

The Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set this year is the Sprinkles Of Life stamp set.  This set is super cute, and works for so many different themes, you will want to add it to your craft stash too!

Sprinkles of Life 002

The Tree Builder Punch let’s us punch the cupcake top and the cherry, so this card went together pretty quickly!

No photos of the inside…being smaller than a regular card I added the layers but left it blank so there’s plenty of room to write a birthday message.

Thanks for stopping by.

Whitewashed Corner Garden

It’s been ages since my last post, so I thought I’d better dust off the cobwebs and share something pretty with you ūüôā

Today’s card is a case of Heather’s card over at Playing With Papercrafting. ¬†It’s one of those cards that makes you need to buy the stamp set, just so you can make it! ¬†Gorgeous!

Corner Garden 001 - Front

The whitewash seemed to take forever to do, but once I started to colour in the flowers I quickly fell in love!

Corner Garden 001 - Inside

I went super simple for the inside. ¬†I stamped the top of the Corner Garden image in the bottom corner of my card in Versamark….it would have been gorgeous if it had been coloured in too, but I was getting too impatient to finish my card!

I made this card with my class ladies a few weeks ago and they loved it.  It was great to teach them the whitewash technique, and see all the variations of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Wonderful

I inked up a free Sale-A-Bration stamp set to make today’s card. ¬†I am loving the simple elegance of this one!

Simply Wonderful 001 - Front

So pleased with this one! ¬†Not sure that you can tell in the photos, but all the mats are done with Brushed Gold cardstock, so it’s lovely and shimmery in real life!

Simply Wonderful 001 - Inside

I’ve brought my score lines and pearls through to the inside too.

I’m looking forward to making this one with my class ladies…I know they are going to love it!

Bright & Beautiful Bauble

I just couldn’t resist embossing a few more of the stars from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set to pop inside a Christmas bauble.

Bright & Beautiful Ornament 1

I took about a million photos trying to get some good ones…these still don’t show just how gorgeous it is, but there’s only so many photos a girl can take of one project before she needs to give up and head back to her craft room for therapy!

Bright & Beautiful Ornament 2

I suspended my stars from the top of the bauble with dental floss so they spin inside the bauble.

I’m off now to order some more baubles and see what else I can pop inside! ¬†This bauble is 10cm and I purchased them from Pack It In.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bright & Beautiful

Don’t you just love it when you see a card and it sends you straight into your craft room to make one of your own? ¬†That’s what happened when I saw this card by Terri Mongeon.

Bright & Beautiful 001 - Front

I added in some layers and removed the greeting banner, but just couldn’t go past using Terri’s colours and the layout of those gorgeous stars!

Bright & Beautiful 001 - Inside

The size of this sentiment is perfect for the inside!

Thanks to Terri for the inspiration, and thanks for stopping by ūüôā

June SCS Creative Crew Holiday Focus

SU-Creative-CrewIn line with our Anything Goes theme this month, our Holiday Focus challenge is to celebrate your favourite holiday with a new technique.

I decided that I would use masking as my new technique.  I love layers, and it is very rare for me to make a card that is fairly flat.  I masked off the top and bottom of my card, and set to work making a Christmas card.

Snowflake Soiree 001 - Front

I love how this turned out!  I stamped my snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set and embossed them with clear embossing powder, then sponged Bermuda Bay over the top.  I then scored lines to highlight my masked area with my Simply Scored.

Snowflake Soiree 001 - Inside

I went super simple for the inside, and just added my sentiment.

June SCS Creative Crew DSP/Colour Focus

SU-Creative-CrewThe Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew June Challenge theme is Anything Goes! ¬†For our Colour Focus challenge we want you to show us your favourite colour. ¬†Try it in a colour combo you haven’t used before!

I actually had a really hard time choosing a fave colour! ¬†I love so many of the Stampin’ Up! colours…..they are all my favourites! ¬†But I had to choose, and in the end I settled on Wisteria Wonder. ¬†I consulted my Colour Coach for advice on what colours to team it with, and got to work.

Regarding Dahlias 001 - Front

I was so happy to see the Regarding Dahlias¬†stamp set return in the 2014-2015 catalogue! ¬†This is the first time I have used it, and I’m in love!

Regarding Dahlias 001 - Inside

I am loving Sahara Sand, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder together too…..I think you will be seeing this colour combo pop up a bit more often!

Are you ready to show us your favourite colour? ¬†Upload your project to Splitcoaststampers using the keyword CCREW0614DF. ¬†Don’t forget to check out the amazing creations by my fellow design team members in the June Creative Crew Gallery too!

My swap for Inspire Create Share Convention 2014

Last Thursday, Friday and Saturday I attended the Stampin’ Up! Inspire Create Share Convention 2014. ¬†It’s such an amazing experience, with plenty of new products to play with, the upcoming 2014-2015 catalogue to drool over, stamping, swapping, laughing, crying, stage walks, cheering, singing, dancing, prize patrols, all attendee give-aways, reunions with old friends and meeting new friends! ¬†The event kicked off with Glinda singing “Popular” from the hit musical Wicked, which was fabulous, and it just got better from there!

While I haven’t yet managed to go through all of my photos from Convention, I have got photos of the card I made to swap while I was there.

Flower Shop 003 - Front

I have embossed one of the gorgeous flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set in Whisper White Embossing Powder onto Crumb Cake cardstock, and then coloured them all in with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker. ¬†So time consuming, and I didn’t get anywhere near as many made as I would have liked, but I still got to swap with some super talented demonstrators, so I was happy. ¬†Remind me next year to start earlier, or do something a little less time consuming!!

Flower Shop 003 - Inside

My swaps didn’t include the inside of the card, but I couldn’t post a card where the inside wasn’t as pretty as the outside!

I’m looking forward to making this card with my ladies this week ūüôā

Embellished Events 001 - Front

So pleased with how this turned out ūüôā ¬†Love those rhinestone bubbles too!

It’s another hot one here again today, so I’m hoping to lock myself in my stamping room and get some more play time in!

January Creative Crew DSP/Colour Focus

Happy New Year!

I am so excited to be joining the Splitcoaststampers Stampin’ Up! Creative Crew Design Team for the next 4 months!

SU-Creative-Crew

The January challenges kicked off today at 12 Noon EST – or 5am for those of us playing along in Melbourne!

Here’s the January DSP/Colour Focus Challenge:

January in Michigan can be like a crystal ball:  Icy, shimmery, white, cool blues, soft pinks, all mixed up with some earthy tones of red berries, evergreens and tree branches all coated with clear stuff!

January image

Show us your take on Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, using some cool wintery colours listed above.

I have to tell you, I really struggled with this one! ¬†All I could see was Christmas trees……and I just didn’t want to make another Christmas card! ¬†When I sat down to create my card on Saturday it was 38 degrees….we were melting, not freezing! ¬†And looking at all those trees covered in snow didn’t help drop the temperature at all! ¬†But then…..OMG…..all those trees……why didn’t I think of that earlier……

January Creative Crew Colour Focus

I pulled out what would have to be the least used set in my stash, Lovely As A Tree, and set to work! ¬†I love how this turned out…it’s so shimmery in real life! ¬†Why don’t I pull this set out more often???

I embossed the trees image onto Shimmery White cardstock with white embossing powder, then sponged Island Indigo and Night of Navy to create my night scene. ¬†It doesn’t show up well in the photo, but I added some Dazzling Diamonds at the base of each tree to look like snow.

Inspired by this challenge? ¬†Upload your card to splitcoaststampers using they keyword: ¬†CCREW0114DF. ¬†We can’t wait to see what you make! ¬†Make sure you check out the Creative Crew Challenges Gallery while you are there to see the fantastic creations by my fellow Design Team members!

I will be back tomorrow to share another of the challenges with you.

Thanks for stopping by.
