Digging Bunny

This digging bunny has been around for quite a while, but it’s only recently that he’s started digging in a Fry Box!  I fell in love with one posted on Stampin’ Connection, and had to make my own!

Fry Box Bunny Soft Sky

Isn’t he gorgeous!  We know he’s a boy…if he was a girl he’d be pink!

Fry Box Bunny Pink Pirouette

She’s a girl for sure!  I think they may even be brother and sister…

Fry Box Bunny Duo

I loved making these bunny Fry Boxes, and can’t wait to make them with my class ladies later in the week.

Birthday Tree CASE

I made this card a week or two ago, and now that I have finally taken photos I think it’s time I shared it.  I have cased this card from Lyssa at Song Of My Heart Stampers.

Lovely As A Tree 003 - Front

I added in an extra layer (you know I couldn’t help myself!) and changed the sentiment.

Lovely As A Tree 003 - Inside

Super simple on the inside, with just a few trees and a little bit of sponging to match the front.

I’m in my craft room for most of the day today so hopefully I will be back soon with another project to share!

Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely As A Tree

Today’s card is a case of one I have had saved for a long time.  As soon as I saw Loll’s gorgeous Lovely Sunset card, I fell in love with it!

Lovely As A Tree 002

Love it!  Loll’s focal image really pops, and I am really pleased with how mine turned out.  Lovely As a Tree is one of the least used sets in my collection, but it is a beautiful set, and is fantastic for masculine cards.

The Dad sentiment comes from the For My Family stamp set which retired a few years ago.

I didn’t take photos of the inside.  It’s blank, and I used the space to write a Father’s Day message for my Dad 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

June SCS Creative Crew Holiday Focus

SU-Creative-CrewIn line with our Anything Goes theme this month, our Holiday Focus challenge is to celebrate your favourite holiday with a new technique.

I decided that I would use masking as my new technique.  I love layers, and it is very rare for me to make a card that is fairly flat.  I masked off the top and bottom of my card, and set to work making a Christmas card.

Snowflake Soiree 001 - Front

I love how this turned out!  I stamped my snowflakes from the Snowflake Soiree stamp set and embossed them with clear embossing powder, then sponged Bermuda Bay over the top.  I then scored lines to highlight my masked area with my Simply Scored.

Snowflake Soiree 001 - Inside

I went super simple for the inside, and just added my sentiment.

Holiday Focus:  National Photograph Month

Create a card that looks like a photograph by putting a border around your image and making the image glossy.  Use your On Film Framelits, or make your own frame.  Use Window Sheets to add your glossiness, or cover your image in Crystal Effects.

I haven’t caved in and purchased the On Film Framelits yet, so I pulled out my Squares Collection Framelits to create my own frame.

Wetlands 003 - Front

I stamped the Hardwood background onto Soft Suede cardstock, and die cut my squares to create my frame.  It doesn’t show in the photo, but I have added my Window Sheet in behind my frame, and popped that up on Stampin’ Dimensionals over my sponged Wetlands image.

January Creative Crew DSP/Colour Focus

Happy New Year!

I am so excited to be joining the Splitcoaststampers Stampin’ Up! Creative Crew Design Team for the next 4 months!

SU-Creative-Crew

The January challenges kicked off today at 12 Noon EST – or 5am for those of us playing along in Melbourne!

Here’s the January DSP/Colour Focus Challenge:

January in Michigan can be like a crystal ball:  Icy, shimmery, white, cool blues, soft pinks, all mixed up with some earthy tones of red berries, evergreens and tree branches all coated with clear stuff!

January image

Show us your take on Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, using some cool wintery colours listed above.

I have to tell you, I really struggled with this one!  All I could see was Christmas trees……and I just didn’t want to make another Christmas card!  When I sat down to create my card on Saturday it was 38 degrees….we were melting, not freezing!  And looking at all those trees covered in snow didn’t help drop the temperature at all!  But then…..OMG…..all those trees……why didn’t I think of that earlier……

January Creative Crew Colour Focus

I pulled out what would have to be the least used set in my stash, Lovely As A Tree, and set to work!  I love how this turned out…it’s so shimmery in real life!  Why don’t I pull this set out more often???

I embossed the trees image onto Shimmery White cardstock with white embossing powder, then sponged Island Indigo and Night of Navy to create my night scene.  It doesn’t show up well in the photo, but I added some Dazzling Diamonds at the base of each tree to look like snow.

Inspired by this challenge?  Upload your card to splitcoaststampers using they keyword:  CCREW0114DF.  We can’t wait to see what you make!  Make sure you check out the Creative Crew Challenges Gallery while you are there to see the fantastic creations by my fellow Design Team members!

I will be back tomorrow to share another of the challenges with you.

Thanks for stopping by.
